You find a default gettext catalogue file (default.pot) the German catalogue file (de_DE.po) and the German localization file (de_DE.mo) in this folder.

Using another language
======================
To use the German translation just put de_DE.mo into your themes directory and upload it - that´s it.


Translating into another language
=================================
Use the catalogue de_DE.po and rename it that it meets your language requirements (e.g fr_FR.po for France). or use the default.pot file to start a complete new translation (this file contains only the english original textstrings without any translation).

Open it in an editor like poEdit (http://www.poedit.net/) and translate the original english text strings 
into your language. You have to overwrite the German translations. Save the file as *.po and *.mo.
